This will depend on the type of collection.
In a mobile or desktop collection panelists download our app direct to their personal device and enable camera permissions. We then activate the front facing camera to capture their attention to ads as they engage with the platform.
In a TV study, panelists are sent a mini streaming device and webcam which they install in their home. This device captures facial images as the participant watches TV. These images are then processed on the device itself (i.e. on-the-edge) producing only facial landmarks for ultimate privacy.
For cinema and outdoor collections, cameras are installed to film the audience with raw footage being processed by our machine learning models.
